A school principal was shot and moderately wounded near her workplace in northern Israel on Monday, as violence rages in the country's Arab community.
The woman, in her 40s, was rushed from the school in the Arab town of Araba to Poriya Hospital in Tiberias.
Police are at the scene and have opened an investigation into the incident.
It is unclear whether the shooting was connected to the woman's role as school principal.
The Ministry of Education condemned the incident, saying it "crosses every red line by undermining and endangering the most important place for students, the school."
This comes after a 55-year-old woman was stabbed to death on Sunday, bringing the death toll from violence in Israel's Arab community to 111.
According to Magen David Adom emergency service, paramedics arrived to the home of Ayesha Abadi in the Arab town of Jadeidi-Makr and found her in critical condition with stabbing wounds, she was later pronounced dead.
According to the Abraham Initiatives NGO, 14 women were murdered in the Arab community this year alone. Since the beginning of the year 111 Arabs were killed in Israel, 53 of them were under the age of 30.
