The Sussex opera festival has appointed a new chief conductor for what used to be the Glyndebourne Tour Orchestra until the Arts Council abolished its tour funding.
The orchestra is now known as the Glyndebourne Sinfonia. Its principal conductor will be Adam Hickox, 27, son of the late conductor Richard Hickox and the late contralto Pamela Helen Stephen.
