Former Catholic Central High School principal Linda Staudt has just came back from Rome, where she was only one of 10 people from North America appointed to the General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops. It's a gathering of religious leaders at the Vatican. But for the first time in history, lay members and women have been invited too, receiving the same vote as bishops.
