Cindy Dyck named incoming principal at Morden's Maple Leaf School - PembinaValleyOnline.com

There will be a new principal at Morden's Maple Leaf School when students return after the holiday break.

Cindy Dick will take over the job, replacing Samuel Jerema who was previously named principal of the city's new Discovery Trails School.

A dedicated teacher and principal for over 30 years, Dick is currently one of the vice-principals at Ecole Morden Middle School (EMMS). Over the years, she has served as a principal at a K-8 Charter school in the United States, previously at Maple Leaf School, and as a teaching principal at Roland Elementary. She has her Master's in Educational Leadership, Bachelor of Education, and Level 1 and 2 School Administrator’s Certificate.

According to the Western School Division, Dick believes in a student voice and a strong, positive and collaborative approach to leadership.

She is a proud mother of two grown children and three grandchildren. During her free time, Dick enjoys reading books her daughter has written and spending time with her family. She is honoured and extremely excited to return to Maple Leaf School and take on this leadership role in Western School Division.

Dick starts her new job January 8th.
