SALINE, MI - Saline Area Schools will interview three candidates for its high school principal position during a candidate forum Thursday.
The district will conduct three simultaneous candidate forums for students and the public, faculty and staff and administration, beginning at 6:30 p.m. May 19 at Saline High School.
Two of the finalists are familiar to the district. Theresa Stager is currently serving as Saline’s interim high school principal, and Musetta Deneen, assistant principal at Saline High School assistant principal also is interviewing for the job. They are joined by C. Ezekiel Ohan, current principal of Detroit Cody High School.
Forums will each be 15 minutes, allowing those in attendance an opportunity to observe each candidate in an interview setting. Candidates will be asked pre-determined questions by a moderator and attendees will be asked to submit written feedback on each of the candidates at the conclusion of the evening.
Final interviews will be conducted on Friday, May 20, with the district anticipating announcing a new principal at its May 24 school board meeting.
The new principal will succeed Saline High School Principal Dave Raft, who was named the district’s first principal of operations in January.
