GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Northwest High School is welcoming in a familiar face as their new principal.
Current Principal Tim Krupicka is stepping down from the role and PJ Smith is taking over the reigns as principal of the high school, moving a step up from his current position as vice principal.
Smith said he’s hoping to make an impact on the school as he takes on the new responsibilities.
“We want to just continue to build our culture, continue to empower our kids and our teachers to be successful everyday so, I’ve been blessed to be a part of this school for seven years so, I know the school well, you know, there’s obviously somethings that we want to continue get better at but, we’ve got a great school already,” he said.
Smith added, he’s excited to carry on the traditions of having phenomenal academics, athletics and other programs offered at Northwest.
