‘I was always on edge’: Former CNY principal wins nearly half-million dollar jury award - syracuse.com

A former principal in the Oriskany Central School District has won a large financial award from a federal jury.

A federal jury has awarded $484,456 to a former Oriskany school principal because she was fired after experiencing gender discrimination and a hostile work environment, the jury ruled.

Lisa Krause, 52, said in the lawsuit filed in 2017 that she was subjected to “extraordinarily abusive and ineffectual interactions” with then-superintendent Greg Kelahan. She also named the Oriskany school board in her suit.
