Principal Real Estate Europe has appointed Nick Gunn as a fund manager working on the Principal European Core Fund.
Gunn will work jointly with Giles Smith, head of fund management at Principal Real Estate Europe, continuing the growth of Principal’s European core strategies.
With more than 14 years of acquisition and asset management expertise, Gunn joins Principal from International Property Funds Management (IPFM), a subsidiary of one of Australia’s largest direct real estate fund managers, ISPT. Prior to that, he worked in the acquisitions and disposals team at Credit Suisse Asset Management and held several other roles at real estate businesses, including CBRE and Propertylink in Australia.
Giles Smith, Head of Fund Management at Principal Real Estate Europe, says: “We’re looking forward to working with Nick to grow the Principal European Core Fund. There is currently strong demand in the market from international investors across Europe and the US for core real estate investment returns from European property.”
The Principal European Core Fund is an open-ended, pan-European, diversified core fund that primarily invests in the traditional real estate asset classes, including office, retail, and logistics, as well as having a modest allocation to specialist sectors such as data centres and healthcare.
