Kehoe will replace Scott Johnson who becomes director of education at the end of September when Deb Crawford retires, the school board said.
“With his breadth of experience as a Catholic leader in our board, Chris is ready and well-prepared to take on the important role of superintendent of education,” Crawford said.
“I know that everyone on our entire staff joins with me in wishing him much continued success in the future,” she said.
Kehoe is a graduate of the University of Windsor and began teaching at Ursuline College in 1998 and also held teaching positions in Brockville, Ottawa and Windsor.
His appointment as superintendent begins Sept. 1 and an announcement about the principal position at St. Patrick’s is expected in the coming days, the school board said.
